Hosted by Sport for Life, the biennial International Physical Literacy Conference (IPLC) is designed to bring together sport, health, education and recreation experts and practitioners, and policy-makers from across Canada and around the world. A conference of this caliber is paramount as childhood obesity and rising inactivity among children threatens the future health of many nations around the world. For kids to get physically active, they need to feel confident in activity settings. That confidence stems from having learned fundamental movement skills and fundamental sport skills – physical literacy – as a child.
